Dedicated to Priya Sivan for being my Inspiration 

I was reading Priya Sivan's post on the consistent bloggers of this year. (Ofcourse I am not mentioned in her blog. But that's ok, as I rarely comment and interact). But her blog gave me this idea to measure my blog performance of the year 07.

I thought it would be a nice idea to summarize my blogs in this year as a separate blog. The data can then explain how my thinking/writing has evolved and changed. Also there are many newcomers in this site, who would not have gone through my previous blogs. It is an opportunity for me, to showcase these old blogs too.

Hence, I decided to make a Blog Summary of all my blogs that I wrote in the year 2007.

I have blogged around 155 blogs this year. Two blogs I left out, as they are specific complaint blogs. That makes it around 3 blogs per week.

Of these 155 blogs,

46 are short stories.
1 is a 'Play' (Shivaji's Thiruvilayadal)
12 belong to 2 Story series (Sivaji Speaking (9 blogs) & Opportunistic,Agnostic, Chauvinistic(3 blogs))
32 are poems
6 are related to Religion
52 are in general category related to politics, education, civics, environment and a host of other topics
4 Movie Reviews
1 is a Travel blog on Ooty
1 is a Hotel blog on Hotel Annalakshmi

Though around 11 blogs (7%) only in this got featured, I found that maximum number of views were not ONLY on those blogs.

Definitely featured blogs had an average viewer-ship above the normal blogs. If my normal blogs reach 100 views, featured blogs will reach 300 views.

But views higher than featured blogs had also happened on blogs which were not featured. For eg blogs on Gayatri, Aum, Story series I wrote (both of them), some specific stories that had an inviting title grossed more views than the average number of views of featured blogs.

My average views on a normal blog is very poor, I should say, probably in the range of 200+, which for a blogger who has spent nearly 18 months in Sulekha is quite low. Probably this is what I can afford to do at this point of time.

Regarding comments, though my average comments per blog is very low, I was satisfied that very many people have commented on my blogs. At the least, 50 different people have commented on these blogs. After counting 50, I lost interest in counting the unique comments.
