Hi TBT.....as usual a very interesting blog.....There was so much wisdom in the beggars simple words...'In selling you have something to offer to the person to part with his money. In begging you don't have anything to offer'............except perhaps one's pride or ego....both of which is what drives a man to commit despicable acts. Never realised there was so much substance behind this art as well:-}

Dear supriyad,

Thanx for ur comments.

Dear chiksunny,

Thanx for ur comments. But it was imagination and not incident.

Dear vijaianand,

Thanx for ur comments. Esteem is more a personal perception. Beggars who beg, probably, have a different perception. All of us compromise on our perceptions, according to circumstances.
Dear Ramarao garimella,
Thanx for ur comments. There should be several reasons why a person gets into begging. Hence it is not possible to generalize a particular situation and claim beggars are of a particular nature.

There are people who beg, as they don't get a good enough job. There are people who do not want to work for some reason and beg. There are people who cannot work and beg. There are people who cannot afford to work and beg.

And everyone of us become beggars at some point. This blog does not justify or preach against begging.

Just a view that begging is not as simple as we all think. That we will understand, only we really beg and make money.

Respected Sir
A though provoking blog. Beggers are going for health insurance policies.

I beg to differ (pun intended).  Begging is selling.  A beggar is selling you a "feel-better-than-me" moment or a "feel-good-about-yourself" moment.  In fact, it is the easiest sell on the planet.  You lose nothing, you gain alms and the other gains a good moment.  It is a win-win situation.

Dear swarajya,
thanx for ur comments.

Well.. I do not know about the other things that u wrote. But it is absolutely true, that we feel big befor others, not realising how small we can be reduced to.

It happens to anybody and everybody.

Dear Madhavi147,
Thanx for ur comments.

This is more imagination than experience, a trigger out of a blog by muthu.

Dear Koolraagaa,
thanx for ur comments.  A small modification. Persistance at the right place, right time with the right person raise the level of reward.
